Of course, there always has to be food – and chicken. It’s the best comfort food. You can even make it Christmasy with some red and green. Cut each sandwich into four triangles just for fun.
Christmasy Chicken Salad Sandwiches
Chicken salad sandwiches with sone red and green for a Christmasy fun night with the grandchildren
Ingredients
- 1 Pkg Frozen boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts
- 1 Teaspoon Santa Fe Seasons Six Seasonings
- 1 Teaspoon Salt
- 2 Tablespoon Sandwich spread
- 1 Stalk Celery
- 1 Apple
- 1 Tablespoon Pickle relish
- 4 Slices Whole grain bread
Instructions

Boil all the chicken from the bag with the salt and Six Seasonings for 30 minutes or until done.

Shred two pieces of chicken, and store the rest of the chicken in the fridge.

Mix the sandwich spread into the shredded chicken.

Cut the celery into thin pieces and add to the chicken.

Wash the apple, peel it, and slice into small pieces, chunky or fine, and add to the chicken and celery.

Add the pickle relish, and mix well.

Put the chicken salad mixture onto the bread.

Slice the sandwiches into triangle shapes and serve.
Christmasy Colors
You can find white, green, red, and multi/colored battery/operated mini Christmas lights at Walmart.
And the Christmasy chicken salad colors? Green pickles in the relish. Red bell peppers in the relish and spread. So there you go – red and green.
