I like using the electric griddle because I can cook food without it sticking. I’ve come to the conclusion that my pans and cooking appliances take on their own personalities. And I dislike cooking in a pan where food sticks.
But not so on my precious griddle. I baby that appliance. Let me tell you why.
Sentimental Cooking Appliances
I have a few sentimental cooking appliances that I haven’t let go of. For instance, my dad went Christmas shopping one evening with my daughter and me at Walmart. He purchased an electric griddle for a Christmas present and bought me one, too.
My mother had died earlier in the year, and this was our first Christmas without her. Christmas shopping just wasn’t the same. I don’t know if my dad had ever purchased a griddle in his life until then.
I took that griddle home and have loved cooking with it ever since. My dad is gone now, too. And although the griddle will never take the place of my parents, it makes me think of shopping with Dad.

- 1 tbsp Coconut Oil
- 2 cups Fresh Organic Spinach
- 2 Eggs
- 1/2 cup Grated Cheddar Cheese
- 1 can French Fried Onions
Instructions
