Best Cooking Appliance for Scrambled Eggs

The best cooking appliance for scrambled eggs in my kitchen is the electric griddle. Don’t have a griddle? You can just as easily cook this recipe in a cast iron pan or any other skillet.

My electric skillet looks different than this one, but I like that warming drawer…

I like using the electric griddle because I can cook food without it sticking. I’ve come to the conclusion that my pans and cooking appliances take on their own personalities. And I dislike cooking in a pan where food sticks.

But not so on my precious griddle. I baby that appliance. Let me tell you why.

Sentimental Cooking Appliances

I have a few sentimental cooking appliances that I haven’t let go of. For instance, my dad went Christmas shopping one evening with my daughter and me at Walmart. He purchased an electric griddle for a Christmas present and bought me one, too.

My mother had died earlier in the year, and this was our first Christmas without her. Christmas shopping just wasn’t the same.  I don’t know if my dad had ever purchased a griddle in his life until then.

I took that griddle home and have loved cooking with it ever since. My dad is gone now, too. And although the griddle will never take the place of my parents, it makes me think of shopping with Dad.

This griddle looks similar to this:

Include Pancakes

Your kids may love the spinach and eggs with the crunchy onions on top, but include pancakes. No doubt, your kids are like my grand littles and want to start eating before the pancakes are all done. When cooking with an electric griddle, the kids don’t have to wait because several pancakes are done at once.

Check out the different pancakes below that I like to make for my grandchildren.
