Ingredients

  • 1 Pkg King’s Hawaiian Original Sweet Rolls
  • Cooking/baking oil spray
  • 1 Granny Smith apple, peeled and diced
  • 3 4-oz cups Del Monte diced peaches (no sugar added), drained
  • 1/2 Stick Butter, salted and melted
  • 3/4 cup White granulated sugar
  • 2-1/4 cup Lactaid milk
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 cup Applesauce
  • 9 Large eggs
  • 2 Tablespoons Vanilla extract
  • 1 Tablespoon Cinnamon
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Cut all the rolls into bite-size pieces.

  2. Preheat oven to 350°.

  3. Spray the bottom of a 9”x13” baking pan with an oil spray (or butter the bottom of the pan.

  4. Pour the bread pieces into the pan evenly.

  5. Peel the apple and cut it into small pieces.

  6. Open and drain three 4-Oz cups of Del Monte (no sugar added) diced peaches.

  7. Melt the butter with sugar, milk, and salt in a medium sauce pan on the stove on low.

  8. When the butter has melted, set the mixture aside to cool down until it’s barely warm (so the eggs don’t cook).

  9. Stir in the applesauce then the beaten eggs.

  10. Pour the mixture into the pan on top of the bread.

  11. Mix the apple and peach pieces in with the bread pieces.

  12. Carefully drizzle the vanilla all over the top of the bread, apple, and peach pieces.

  13. Sprinkle the cinnamon and nutmeg on top of the bread and fruit mixture.

  14. Bake on a middle rack for 45 to 50 minutes.

  15. Check for doneness at about 35 minutes (I have a propane gas stove, and mine was fine at 50 minutes.).
