A basic peppermint candy recipe for holidays, special occasions, or simply for every day
Melt 1/4 package of almond bark in a bowl in the microwave for one minute.
Put the candy in a baggie with a slider.
Seal the bag, and crush the candy with the heavy end of a butter knife.
Mix crushed candy pieces into the melted almond bark.
Lay parchment paper over a cookie sheet.
Drop spoonfuls of the peppermint bark onto the parchment paper and let cool.
I make a small amount of peppermint almond bark at a time. However, you can make a large batch if you prefer.
Add chopped pecans or walnuts along with the peppermint.
