A complete meal for two cooked in the slow cooker with Beef Shank Steak
Season steaks, place them in the bottom of the slow cooker.
Pour one cup of water in the bottom of the slow cooker (not over the steaks).
Wash the sweet potatoes, and cut them into medium-sized chunks with the skin on.
Peel the eggplant, cut into 1/4 inch slices, then cut into fourths.
Place a large piece of foil inside the slow cooker on top of the steaks, making a bowl shape.
Place the eggplant and sweet potato chunks into the foil, season, and place chunks of the butter evenly around.
Seal the foil, put the slow cooker lid on, plug in the slow cooker, and turn it on high.
Cook for 9 hours.
