Serve your guests air fryer ribeye steak burritos with this recipe. Using an air fryer makes the easiest ribeyes. Cooked on the grill or in the air fryer, ribeyes make a warm Texas Christmas holiday perfect with a burrito brunch.
It’s nostalgic during holidays to serve family traditional recipes. But I also love new dishes that family and friends make for the festivities. Like air fryer ribeye steak, sliced and cut into pieces for burritos.
You can slice the ribeyes, cut into chunks, wrap them in a tortilla. Fill them up with any additional toppings of your choice.
If you want something easy to make for a holiday brunch, do a burrito bar.
Air Fryer Ribeye & Burrito Bar for Brunch
For Christmas 2021 family holiday time, we decided to do a burrito bar for brunch. Part of the menu was my air fryer ribeye steak for burritos in low-carb tortillas.
Breakfast is my favorite meal any part of the day, and everyone seemed to love the brunch. It included:
- ribeye steak
- creamy scrambled eggs with cheese
- Pico de Gallo sausage
- Out-of-this-world fruit crepes topped with whipped cream for dessert
And it’s so easy to prepare the ribeyes in an air fryer then keep them warm in the oven until it’s time to slice them.
Air Fryer Ribeye Steak Makes Great Leftover Meals
Ribeye steak makes great leftover meals if you asked my grandchildren. They stayed with us a few days after Christmas during their holiday break. Honestly, for three evenings in a row, they requested my steak burritos.
Leftover Steak Burritos Are Easy to Make
This is how easy it is to make steak burrito leftovers:
- Heat up the tortillas on a gas stove burner, in a pan on an electric stove, or in the microwave.
- Heat up the steak slices/chunks in the microwave for up to a minute or so. Or heat the steak in an air fryer for approximately three to five minutes.
- Add steak pieces, sour cream, grated cheese, and salsa inside each tortilla.
- Roll up the tortillas and serve.
Yes, it’s that easy. Your kids or grandkids will like it better than cereal.

If you haven’t tried air fryer ribeyes, you are missing out. I have an air fryer like the on below (except mine is red 😀).
Electric Cooking Appliances
What electric cooking appliances do you like to use? Some home chefs would rather keep things simple and only use their stove, oven, and microwave.
Accumulating too many kitchen cooking appliances can create unneeded clutter in a crowded kitchen. However, there are a few electrical kitchen appliances I would not want to be without, and one is the air fryer.
Every cook has favorite cooking appliances. My list of favorite electric kitchen appliances is listed below.
- Air fryer
- Pressure cooker
- Slow cooker
Electric cooking appliances are convenient to use. When the days are warm or hot, it doesn’t take long for the kitchen and house to warm up. That’s one of the reasons I prefer to use my small electric cooking appliances.
And for Christmas breakfast brunch for my family, ribeye burritos cooked in the air fryer worked wonderfully.
Although I heated my tortillas on the gas stove, a griddle would have worked great as well. I love using my electreic griddle (sort of like the one below).
My First Air Fryer Experiment
The first time I cooked in an air fryer, a cousin brought her new one over for me to show her how to use it. We experimented with salmon and grilled cheese recipes. It didn’t take long until I purchased my own air fryer.
When a friend suggested I try steak in my air fryer, I couldn’t imagine it tasting near as good as my husband’s grilled steaks. I am spoiled when it comes to ribeyes because my husband grills them to perfection.
My Funniest Experiment in the Air Fryer
My funiest air fryer experiment? When I made a grilled cheese sandwich. The air blew the bread around in the fryer a little too much, and the corner of the sandwich was burned. So watch closely if you decide to cook something with bread.
Choosing the Ribeye for the Air Fryer
Choosing the ribeye depends on the size of your air fryer, the amount you want to spend for a steak, and how thick you want it.
Prices have gone up a bit for ribeye steaks. And I’ve noticed that the steaks aren’t cut as thick, yet the price has gone up. I chose a small ribeye at the grocery store for about $8.
How Long Does It Take To Cook a Ribeye in an Air Fryer?
It took me less than ten minutes to cook my ribeye. The steak was easy to cook in the air fryer.
The results? A medium well, juicy, incredibly tasting ribeye. I’m convinced now that ribeyes can be perfectly cooked in an air fryer.
Incidentally, the next time you think about treating yourself with a ribeye at a steakhouse, first consider cooking your own. You should be able to find one for only $8 to $10. Grill or cook it in your air fryer.
But of course, treat yourself to dining out for a steak if you need a break from cooking. Enjoy even if it does cost $20 or more for a steak.
Air fryer ribeye steaks are so easy to do. But if you need to see a recipe, see mine below. I cooked this ribeye in a small Bella air fryer.
Air Fryer Ribeye Steak
easy way to cook a ribeye
- 1 Ribeye small to medium for smaller air fryer/any size for large air fryer
- 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon Steak seasoning
Heat the air fryer on 400 for 3-4 minutes.
Season both sides of the steak, approximately 1/2 teaspoon on each side of a small steak.
Open the air fryer basket, and put the steak on the air fryer crisper grill tray.
Close and cook for 5 minutes, turn the steak over, close again and cook for 4 more minutes (if cooked in a small air fryer and you want the ribeye medium well).
Open the air fryer basket to check for doneness.
Slice and eat.
This recipe is for one ribeye, but two can be cooked at the same time. Once the steaks are done, slice them, chop them into bite-size pieces. It’s that easy to make ribeye burritos.
For our Christmas family brunch, I had to cook only one ribeye at a time. The steaks were too large to fit into my size air fryer.
But see how easy it is to make ribbeye burritos using the air fryer? Now you can make a quick ribeye for dinner.
Cooking the Perfect Steak
There are different ways to cook the perfect steak. It depends on whether you use a outdoor grill, air fryer, oven, cast iron pan or other ways. Check out Patty Cake Pantry’s article on cooking the perfect steak.
Take a hot minute to see how to cook ribeyes on a charcoal grill if you want an outdoor grilled ribeye.
The photo above shows the ribeyes cooking on a cast iron pan. This step is not necessary. Simply place the steaks on the rack.
Add a Salad with Your Ribeye for an Easy Meal
Add a salad like one of these below, and serve with a vegetable you like.
Coleslaw (with sugar-free dressing)
These salads are delicious and great to serve with ribeye steak. Or any vegetable will be good as well like asparagus, Brussels sprouts, cabbage or green beans.
If you love Brussels sprouts, green beans, or cabbage, try these delicious veggie recipes. They are very good to serve with ribeye steak.
