Grand Canyon RV Trip to Williams, AZ
Visitor Information Center, Williams, AZ

My good friends, Rusty, and her husband, Jeff, helped my husband and me with a moving trip in November 2017. My husband, a professional driver, couldn’t make the trip. Therefore, the three of us teamed up with their RV and one of our cars. We parked at the Visitor Information Center and walked about a block to Anna’s Restaurant that we had been referred to.

Anna’s was jampacked. We kept walking and found a lovely country-style restaurant, Pine Country Restaurant, that suited us perfectly.

Discovering Pine Country Restaurant was a highlight of my November 2017 trip on Route 66. Though I’ve traveled on Interstate 40 in the southwestern states many times, I had never known about this fabulous place with a gift shop and large array of delicious-looking pies to choose from.

Pine Country Restaurant’s biscuits, gravy, and sausage entree looked extra good. I indulged – and ate pie! The biscuit and sausage entree plus dessert definitely filled me up for an entire day! But you know how it is on a road trip. Food stops. Snacking. Sightseeing, hiking, and exploring make a person hungry.

Side Trip to Sedona

Include at least a day or two in the gorgeous red rock Sedona on your Grand Canyon RV trip. We didn’t visit Sedona on our RV trip, although I went there on my first moving road trip with my Texas long-time friend, Doris. That’s another story – see you on the next road trip blog post.

Me, too! Downtown Williams is quaint and a fun place to visit. I have seen the Grand Canyon a few times. The first time I went with my parents when I was a pre-teen. I’ve been with my husband and our youngest daughter and have been there with one of my BFFs. The place is spectacular every time.
